All requests to inspect, copy, provide electronic records, or certify public records must be submitted to the Village of Round Lake in writing. Please submit requests by entering your information below. The Village of Round Lake will review all written requests. The Village will respond to each written request to inspect, copy, or certify public records in a manner consistent with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. Additional Information 1. Specific delineation or enumeration of the documents requested will simplify compliance and shorten the processing time for any requested documents. 2. If the below request is for inspection: the requester will be supervised and will be required to maintain all documentation in its presented and complete condition. 3. Payment must be made prior to releasing the copies, faxes, or Emails. 4. The Village will respond or comply within 5 business days for non-commercial requests and within 21 days for commercial requests. If more time is needed by the Village, the requester will be notified. The requester will be notified in writing of any denial of a document request under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act. FOIA Fee Schedule: Copies - first 50 pages of black and white, letter or legal sized copies (8 1/2 X 11 or 11 X 14) are free. Additional pages over 50 are $0.15 per page. 5 ILCS 140/6/(b) Large Format - blue prints $0.10 a square foot (i.e. 24 X 36 = $0.60; 36 X 48 = $1.20) - Actual cost to the Village, excluding personnel costs. Color Copies, Digital Copies, or Audio Tapes - Actual cost to the Village, excluding personnel costs. Certified Copies - $1.00 per document in addition to copy charges, if necessary. Additional Costs - Cost of postage, if necessary. Traffic Accident Report Fees: $5.00 for each copy $20.00 for copies of traffic accident reports investigated by an accident reconstruction officer or accident reconstruction team.
