Townline Road Closure

The Lake County Department of Transportation will close Townline Road to thru traffic from Bacon Road to Wildspring Road, starting 7:00 A.M. on Monday, April 16th, 2007. Townline Road will reopen to thru traffic on Saturday, July 15, 2007.  The road closure and detour is necessary to construct the intersection of Cedar Lake Road and Townline Road.  The earth-moving operations will include lowering the intersection grade to improve the sight distance at the newly constructed intersection.  Once the intersection is completed, earth-moving operations on the Cedar Lake Road extension will continue both north and south of the intersection.  The extended Cedar Lake Road will be open to traffic later this year.  The signed detour route will be Bacon Road, to Illinois Route 120, Belvidere Road, to Wildspring Road.
