Metra parking lot construction update

On September 10, Metra will begin construction to expand the Metra parking lot on the northeast corner of Cedar Lake Road and the Metra tracks.  During the construction, the lot will be closed from time to time, but the intent is to keep much of the lot open for the entire construction period. The lots at the train station, Goodnow, and the north side of Route 134 will remain open. 

Please plan ahead when riding Metra to ensure that there are spaces available in the lots or you can use an alternate Metra facility.  There are additional Metra stations in Grayslake, both Downtown and on Washington Street.  In Round Lake Beach, there is a Metra station next to the Round Lake Beach Municipal Complex.  Consult the Metra website at http://metrarail.com/ to find train schedules and the locations for other stations to find one that best suits your schedule.
